VSAT Network Facilitates Always ‘On’ Internet In Africa

If you reside in a remote area or even work in such a region, there is a good chance that you already might be facing a number of internet issues. Many remote and far flung corners have quite limited number of options when it comes to telecommunications and Internet connectivity. Among the options available, opting for Satellite Connectivity in Africa would essentially be the most prudent choice. This system helps in the delivery of high speed and stable internet to even the forested regions, suburban areas, small villages and deserts of Africa.

Ku and Ka-Band in Africa are two of the most common frequencies used by the satellite internet providers of the region. While Ku-band ideally frequencies in the 12 to 18 GHz range, Ka-band uses frequencies in the 26.5 to 40 GHz range.  As the latter has a high frequency, it can extract comparatively more bandwidth, and facilitate improved data transfer rates and overall performance. VSAT C band system is used by multiple providers of the region as well, due to its superior reliability. VSAT Teleport in Africa is particularly known for its extensive coverage. A VSAT network can provide Internet access in addition to the point to point WAN links.  The feature ‘always on’ internet can be made possible through VSAT networks in the most remote corners of Africa.
